Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are a fantastic snack or breakfast option for those wanting to meal prep, have something on the go or have more of a sweet tooth! Chia seeds are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and are full of fibre, iron, and calcium.

Overnight oats don’t require any heating or cooking like traditional oats, so you can simply mix the ingredients and leave in the fridge for up to a week!

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup rolled o­­­ats
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp greek yogurt
  • fruit and nuts of choice

 

Method:
  1. In a mason jar, container or bowl, mix oats, milk, chia seeds and yogurt and combine well
  2. Cover and leave in the fridge for at least for 8 hours
  3. When ready to serve and enjoy, top with your favourite fruit and or nuts.

Tip: try combinations like banana and walnuts, strawberries and blueberries and apricot and almonds.
